Free GPSR warning generator for Shopify product listings

Last updated: 6 July 2026

Under GPSR Article 19, every product sold online to EU consumers must show its safety warnings and safety information, in a language buyers understand, before they purchase, and the same information must physically travel with the product. This free tool builds that Product safety information block for you: choose your category, tick what applies, add your manufacturer and EU responsible person details, and copy the result straight into your Shopify listing or into the euready metafields. Every warning below is drawn from GPSR and the product standards named in each section. They are a vetted starting point, not legal advice: review each one against your actual product before publishing.

Build your product safety block

Pick a category, tick what matches your product, add your details, and copy the finished block. Nothing is gated and no email is required. Multiple categories merge into one de-duplicated block.

Step 1. Pick your product categories

Step 2. Your business details

Your business details are saved only in this browser (localStorage), never sent anywhere.

Step 3. Copy your safety block

Not sure GPSR even applies to you? Start with the free 2-minute GPSR scope check, then come back here to write the warnings it says you need.

Warnings are one field. EUReady checks them all

This tool writes the safety text. EUReady scans every product page in your Shopify store, shows which products are still missing the manufacturer, EU responsible person or warnings, and fills the euready metafields for you, free. Join the free beta and be first in line when we launch on the Shopify App Store.

The full GPSR warning library, by category

These are the exact texts the generator uses, published in full so they can be read (and cited) without running the tool. "Always" lines apply to the whole category; the others are added when you tick the matching option. Lines marked "also check" are compliance reminders for you, not text for the public listing.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to show safety warnings on my Shopify product pages?

Yes. GPSR Article 19 requires warnings and safety information to appear on the online listing before purchase, in a language consumers of each country understand, and the same information must travel with the physical product.

Can I just copy these warnings onto my listings?

Use them as a vetted starting point, not a final answer. Each block tells you to review the warnings against your actual product before publishing. Some categories (cosmetics, craft chemicals, batteries) also need statements taken from your supplier's safety data sheet.

What are the euready metafields the tool outputs?

They are the three fields the EUReady app reads and writes on each product: euready.manufacturer, euready.responsible_person and euready.warnings. The tool gives you the same values by hand so you can paste them into your theme or test the format.

Do I still need an EU responsible person if I use this tool?

If your manufacturer is not established in the EU, yes. Tick the EU box only when the manufacturer is inside the EU or Northern Ireland; otherwise the block keeps the responsible person line, which is legally required for non-EU sellers.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is an educational tool based on Regulation (EU) 2023/988 and the product standards named in each section. For edge cases, confirm with a qualified professional or the official sources listed below.
