Does GPSR apply to my products? Free 2-minute check

The EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) applies since 13 December 2024 to virtually every physical consumer product sold to EU or Northern Ireland customers, whether new, secondhand, handmade or imported, and whether you sell one parcel or ten thousand. The main exceptions are antiques, products sold to be repaired before use, and products fully covered by their own EU regimes such as food, medicines, medical devices and living plants or animals. The quiz below tells you in about 2 minutes whether GPSR applies to you, what role you hold, and exactly what you must display.

Frequently asked questions
Does GPSR apply to handmade products?
Yes, fully. No craft or small-seller exemption exists. One handmade sale to an EU consumer is in scope.
Does GPSR apply to secondhand items?
Yes, unless the item is a genuine antique or sold explicitly for repair or reconditioning and marked as such.
Do my old listings from before December 2024 escape GPSR?
No. There is no grandfathering for listings: units you ship to the EU on order today are placed on the market now and must comply.
I only sell 2 or 3 orders a month to Europe. Am I exempt?
No. GPSR has no volume threshold. Enforcement targets bigger fish first, but marketplaces check every listing.
